Mirror coatings
Mirror coatings (HR coatings) feature high reflectivity (HR, typically optimized for specific spectral range), minimized absorbtion and minimized scatter of the reflected light.
A typical application of highly reflective coatings is within laser optics, where absorption and scatter decrease mirror performance and increase risk of laser induced damage.
