Longpass edge filters

Longpass edge filters allow longer wavelengths to pass through (with transmissivity oftentimes over 90%), whereas they attenuate or reflect shorter wavelengths. Solaris Optics manufactures longpass edge filters within UV to near IR.

Longpass filters are specified primarily by an edge wavelength, a cut-on wavelength, which defines the spectral point after which the light is passed.

A basic list of specifications of longpass edge filters include:

• cut-on wavelength
• overall working spectral range,
• minimum required transmission in the pass range,
• rejection level (in OD).

Other relevans specs include:

• shape and physical dimensions,
• suface quality.
