Beamsplitters
Beamsplitters are optical components that allow to divide incoming beam according to a given property. In a reversed way, a beamsplitter would combine incoming beams into one.
Beamsplitters can be categorized functionally, for instance by beam polarisation (e.g. a polarizing beamsplitter), by wavelength, or by beam energy. Beam dividers perform also such functions as bandpass filters or a dichroic mirrors.
Most typical beamsplitter designs include prismatic (e.g. cube, pentabeam divider or Köster prism) and plate.
Solaris Optics manufactures various custom beams dividers using its inhouse glass processing and thin film capabilities.
