For mechanical measurements of physical dimensions Solaris Optics uses 3D coordinate measuring machine (CMM) DEA Global Performance 5.7.5 produced by Hexagon Metrology.

The machine accuracy is specified as: MPE(E0) = 1.5 + L/333.0 [μm]. We can measure elements within an area of 50x70x50 [mm].

The machine is equipped with different kinds of measuring probes, which can be changed during measurement process. It allows choosing the best probe for each dimension to reach the best accuracy.
