UV-IR lenses
UV-IR lenses are specifically optimized for each wavelengths range. They are available in all shapes and sizes that can be found in other categories, so can be spherical, cylindrical od mild-aspheric.
For UV lenses to reach good imaging properties for shorter wavelengths a selection of materials are used such as fused silica or Calcium Floride (CaF2). In visible spectrum from 400 to 700 nm wavelengths materials such as fused silica, N-BK7 or other SCHOTT standard glasses would be used. For IR spectrum Solaris Optics usually uses fused silica, Ssilicon (Si) or Germanium (Ge). As a custom optics manfuacturer we produce first of all according to customer specifications.

To further improve the quality of lenses, dedicated coatings are applied that can reduce reflection in working wavelength range or transmission in an undesirable spectrum.
Applications of UV-VIS-IR Lenses
The applications for ultraviolet optics are very broad and include laser optics, fluorescence detection and various diagnostic tools in medicine, biology, art and archaeology.The applications for VIS lenses include any optical devices relying on the human vision that do not implement any intermediate digital modifications to light (e.g. microscopes, spectacles, telescopes). The applications for infrared (IR) optics are very broad and include e.g. thermal imaging, infrared spectroscopy and remote sensing. The near infrared spectrum (NIR) lenses are also used in photography and surveillance.
