Development of R&D Infrastructure

Development of RD infra

Solaris Optics S.A. implements a project titled “Development of R&D infrastructure of Solaris Optics S.A. as a way to implement innovation” co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Regional Operational Program of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship for 2014-2020, Sub-measure 1.2. Research and development activities of enterprises.

I. Purpose of the project and its results

The main goal of the project is the development of R&D infrastructure, as a result of which Solaris Optics will be able to carry out research and development works in a wider scope than before, in order to develop new, innovative optical elements.

The direct recipient of the planned implementation of research works based on the aforementioned R&D infrastructure is the optics market, including the photonic market. The solutions developed as a result of the implementation of the research agenda will be dedicated to segments related to the production of microscopes, measuring equipment, lasers and space research.

The most important stages of the project are four related tasks:
Task 1 – preparation of the research agenda;
Task 2 – purchase of R&D infrastructure, including the purchase of:
– raster mode module for MRF machine,
– f500 grinders with one-sided grinding (2 pcs),
– cascade coolant filtration system for SSM500-NC grinders,
– a set of stones for the correction of the shape of tools (diamond discs),
– an instrument for measuring tools (diamond paddles),
– a set of grinding tools (aluminum scarves + trays – 5 pcs);
Task 3 – promotion of the project;
Task 4 – measurements of elements.
